Natural Talent

 HAUTE HEADWEAR

I've just recently started uploading pieces back on etsy, I say back because the first time I tried to sell on there nothing moved but this time I'm determined to make my shop work, after reading books and doing my research I can see that last time was very heart hearted, as with anything the more you put in the more you get out.
One of the things you have to do is join circles, like people and make contact, so tonight I've done my first treasury which I found a fab handbag plus other lovely things, but it was the handbag I fell in love with.

While my search on etsy I came across this amazing lady, and she is truely amazing. Caley Johnson is self taught and makes every piece head piece by hand. I just need to show you as her work speaks for itself...

These are just a few of her incredible designs

Caley draws inspiration for her collections from nature, art, history, burning man and the lovely people that surround her everyday. She treasures how beautiful every woman is in her own distinct way. Each is so different, so complex and so rich in color and depth. Her headpieces reflect that beauty. No two are exactly alike. Each one evokes a different feeling, vibe or emotion. There is nothing more magical than watching a woman place that perfect headpiece on her head and seeing her face light up! She feels sexy...she feels beautiful...she feels like a woman!"

I'M A LITTLE BLUE

I'm not a bold garish type of gal, I like pretty dull colours to be fair, although that doesn't make a girl dull just simpistic or at least I think so.

I've always loved my jeans, infact I don't know what girls, or should I say what I would without MY jeans....lost doesn't even come close to describe that feeling.
Anyway I just wanted to share my recent love for my new denim PUR-CHASE-ES and it's not my jeans.

CHESTER VINTAGE FAIR

Right I've never done this before but here goes blogging on my phone.
Today I'm in the gorgeous Chester, it's my second time this year visiting the city, although I haven't got to see any of it yet as I've just finished setting up my stand for the vintage fair.
I came to Chester last month to take part in my first vintage wedding fair and it was such a success I'm back seeing if I can promote saving face even more.

I'm turning into a travelling lady with all my vintage props I have to bring along with me, soon you'll see me and I'll have decorated my car like Jake Mangel Wurzel.

Here's a sneak peak of today's set up lets hope the show is a success

Check out my beautiful grandma Audrey in her youth....

'DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLS BEST FRIEND'

I dont blog very often, but recently I have been so busy. Things have just gone a little crazy...good crazy obviously and I'm not complaining in the slightest. One thing I do want to share is my recent press piece in the fabulous slave magazine.
I was approached by the magazine last year and asked if I'd been interested in sending some pieces for a jewellery shoot they were doing.
ERRRRRM YES!
They gave me their brief  'ROMANTIC' which I wouldn't really describe Saving Face as romantic but was obviously willing to comply.
Anyone who knows me knows how anti-diamonte I am, but I also know that I am a tiny tiny minority of women who would be devasted with any kind of sparkly gift presented to me, so I can appreciate the beauty of the sparkle I just choose not to wear it.
Anyway enough blabbing about how I'm a boyfriends worst nightmare take a look at the amazing press Saving Face Jewellery has just had ...

The last picture is my personal favourite with the extra special pearl and diamonte piece I made especially for the shoot.

BUMP ART

IT BEGAN WITH ONE MAN......& ONE CONTINIOUS LINE

 I always
Wanted
To be
MƎ.

BƎ you
Always.

MƎ 'Mind Elevation'

One of my closest friends has just given birth to a gorgeous baby girl Amelia, but before the birth the talented artist, designer and entrepreneur Benaiah Matheson asked if he could paint her bump. I'm not sure Benaiah actually thought she's agree to this but she did and little miss wriggle (as baby Amelia was once refered to as) made sure she wasn't going unnoticed too. Infact it was quite strange especially if you've never had children to watch a stomach morph and go so hard. At one point it looked like she's swallowed a box it was quite freaky especially covered in paint.

BUMP ART

To me this picture looks like a giant easter egg, but there certainly isn't a giant chocolate egg underneath this abstract art work.

Just to prove she's not a chocolate egg....meet the gorgeous sleepy Amelia. It was hard work making her appearance especially 10 days early.
